THAT UNWANTED APP
Every smart phone that you buy or get as a gift comes with
obvious apps like the camera, gallery, and google apps and obviously these apps
are used on a daily or every now and then. But there are those built in apps
that do not actually make sense even after you’ve read “HOW TO” use those apps.
They occupy the space on your phone and even after you’ve “FORCE STOPPED” or
“DISABLED” them from working on your phone. They can’t be uninstalled or
deleted even after hard resetting your phone.
“So what does one need to do?” you ask.
Well here is the thing.
First, don’t attempt to do it on your own. There are phone
experts out there who can help you.
Second (that is if you don’t want to take the first safe
option), then you need to “ROOT” your phone. Rooting your phone means unlocking
your phone’s Operating System. It’s the Android version of “jailbreaking” your
phone. This gives you permission to run apps that require access to certain
system settings as well as flash custom ROMs on your phone. But be careful, this
is not 100% guaranteed to work. This is because there are different Android
phones out there and there is no one-size-fits-all guide for rooting all of
them.
Third, you leave the phone the way it is and don’t try to
change anything because at the end of the day, the apps you need are in perfect
working condition and the extra built in apps make the phone look nice and also
make your neighbour curious as to how they work. Plus, you get to show off just
a little bit.
And when the phone gets a problem and it’s still under
warranty, you will thank God you didn’t mess up with the system, because once
you do, you invalidate the warranty on you phone.
At the end of the day, you didn’t really need to get rid of
those unwanted built-in apps after all.
