FUN FRIDAYS Pt.1

I've come up with this new idea, and it's called "Fun Fridays." Well, it wasn't really my idea but my Mama, gave it to me and i think I'll do it. Actually, I'm doing it now. here are a few ideas for a fun day (for those who are in Uganda) and well, to any one out there who does not like being bored.

I Hate being bored at all times and when I sense boredom lurking at my door step, I always look for something fun to do. Now I don’t know how many things I can possibly come up with to have fun but I guess there’s always a thing or two around the house or around the area. But there’s one problem, the only fun in my area is in the house I leave in with my cousin and her kids. This is what I mean, we sit around and make up a game, talk about the things we do for fun or just sit and watch TV. Stay in that state for a whole week and trust me, you will think of a new strategy to get rid of boredom. So guess what my new strategy is? I get myself out of the house and the area and look for fun somewhere else. And there are many places I go to for just that. Let me list the places for you and give you just a tiny description. 

The first place to go to is more or less a shopping mall. And we have several malls around Kampala. But my favorite mall is Garden City shopping mall. This one is located on Yusuf Lule road just minutes away from Kampala city center. It has several businesses and is a definite stop for your shopping needs. Well, I don’t normally go for shopping but what takes me there most of the time is the ICECREAM and THE MILK SHAKES. My favorite flavor is strawberry. Yum yum. Garden city will not disappoint when you want to do some sserious shopping. It has supermarkets, African shops that are well equipped with African crafts (for those who want to know more about Africa and are really into art), boutiques owned by some of the most prominent designers in Uganda like Sylvia Owori, beauty shops too, Restaurants that make both Local and international cousines. Now I’m not saying its only for fun, it’s also a place for businesses like Banks. It actually speaks for itself. You can as well check out the Gyms and the swimming pool area that overlooks the golf course. So serene, this place. Oh, and I forgot to mention the water fountains. Trust me, you will love them. And for those with cars, parking is not a problem. Place doesn close till 7:00pm. U will not feel bad about spending your money at Garden City Shopping Mall. Don’t believe me? Beautiful animals

I have this obsession with beautiful animals (I don't know if the word handsome applies to them) One of these beautiful animals are the rabbits When you look at a couple of rabbits, like these they are the best then look at these too Seriously, I have never seen bunny rabbits with my own eyes doing a high five, but hey, who am I TO QUESTION THEIR INTELLIGENCE. Then there's the UGANDAN respected Bird (the crested crane) Did you know that it is hard to get these birds and rare them as domestic birds? Well thats the fact, they are free birds and if you are seen shooting one of them by the wildlife authority, you have to pay a good fine. Seriously, look at the birds yourself and you will even loose the energy to kill one. They are extravagantly beautiful. HOW beautiful are they? Like I SAID, u lose the interest of even killing one. Now i dont have time to continue but there will be a part 2 to this article. first have fun with this.

DIARIES...........................Why?

DIARIES I know you’re probably wondering why I’m going to write about diaries. Considering that I’ve watched countless teenage movies and read countless novels, at least I know a thing or two about the use of diaries. The thing is it depends on who is using the diary and what for. Let me elaborate on this. A man or gentleman uses a diary for something different and a lady uses the diary for something different too. It’s on rare occasions that you find both the male and female using the diary for the same thing. A man uses a diary for writing down his schedule like who is he going to visit the next day or what time he is supposed to be in meeting, or what he needs to buy on his way back. Or even write down how he is going to pay the people who have done some work for him at a certain point or what happened sometime in the past, like how he forgot his wife’s birthday or even their anniversary.
